You are a Quantum Biological Processor By Theresa McKeown (Tone Magazine, June 2006)
When I first heard the idea, I thought it meant my body is LIKE a computer’s central processing unit. Upon further exploration, however, my body clarified for my intellect that it IS a quantum biological processor – its 60 to 70 trillion cells are capable of processing more than 2 trillion interactions per second. The 10 to the power of 10 to the power of 11 neurological connections in your body are more than all the stars in the galaxy…imagine that…more than all the grains of sand on all the beaches in the world.
With this power, you have a huge potential for embracing, changing, and creating your life. So perhaps the question is "Which capability do I choose to deal with the things that are really important in my life?" On the one hand, there is my intellect, capable of processing 7 plus or minus 2 items at a time. On the other hand, my quantum body is capable of processing 2 trillion interactions per second.
If it is true that 98% of your capacity is untapped, then the 2% that is used is doing a superlative job (as that includes breathing, circulation, digestion, elimination, reproduction and all life-support functions). Imagine what it would be like to access even a small amount of your total power. What trance-formative opportunities can you create just by accessing more of you? Practising self hypnosis and using a pendulum are two ways of connecting with your power.
Using the Pendulum
The pendulum is a biofeedback mechanism you can use to increase rapport between your conscious and unconscious minds. And eventually you may find your rapport has increased to the point you no longer need to use the pendulum.
To begin, find a comfortable position in which you can hold the pendulum – with your elbow supported and your eyes open. Centre yourself and enter into an uptime trance, which enables you to stay alert, focused and paying attention. Establish "yes" and "no" signals and then ask, with your real or imaginary voice, one question at a time, using simple language and binary (yes/no) constructions.
Remember to thank your unconscious after it has given you a response, regardless of whether it was the response your conscious mind wanted. Speak with care and respect, remembering you are talking to you.
And then, I don't know just when, your unconscious mind will delight and surprise you with the awareness that your connection with yourself is so strong you don’t even need the pendulum to get the answers to questions you are asking yourSelf. With practise, you can very quickly enter an uptime trance state and connect with yourself for information you need, in order to make decisions about things that are really important in your life.
