Corporate Wellness = Increased Productivity + Reduced Costs

corporate wellness

The Business Case. There is some compelling evidence of the correlation between corporate wellness, workplace health promotion and increased productivity. It makes sense, doesn’t it, for both employers and employees, to invest in initiatives that improve employee fitness, health, productivity, morale, job satisfaction and team spirit. And at the same time reduce absenteeism, turnover, stress, injuries, workers’ compensation costs and claims against group benefit plans.

It’s Not Just About Physical Fitness and Exercise. Although fitness and exercise are key components, more wholistic Corporate Wellness Programs may also address stress management, work-life balance, nutrition, weight control, sugar/carb addiction, financial wellness, smoking cessation, HIV-AIDS eduction, prenatal health, back injury prevention and other self-care or self-help elements.
